Serenity Review

Just got back from holiday and saw that the new Emerald City is out, and it contains my Serenity review. I am so mightily pleased. This is my first international publication – and another big step in that happy career of SFF-journalist. They even mention me as ‘Staff’! And amongst the two-week stack of magazines that were on the table when I got home, there was an Elf Fantasy Magazine, too, with two reviews and an interview. Bliss.





Serenity Premiere

It was magnificent. Organisation was shite, press relations rude, Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau very friendly, movie stunning. My head spun, but that may also have had something to do with sitting on the second row and the noise being turned up to the max. Which was fantastic. It even drowned out most of the popcorn-eating noises of the little boys next to me. Who left, thankfully, halfway through. Probably because two large bags of popcorn each, a bottle of coke and a portion of Ben & Jerry’s made them sick. DId I mention the food & drink were free?

Total hysterics

Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau are in Amsterdan next Tuesday, for the premiere of Serenity. Which – according to my little counter – is not on in the US until late September. Am frantically trying to find a publication who is interested in the Serentiy-story (from dvd to film), so I have a legal excuse to interview. Nathan. Gloop.

Aw, the lovely Malcom Reynolds… He’s soooooooooo cool.
